The marriage between Meena and software engineer Vidhyasagar from Bangalore took place last July. After the marriage Meena continued to act in films. G R is remaking the Tamil film Varavu Ettanna Selavu Pattanna in Kannada.

Meena is pairing with Ramesh Aravind in this film. She is also acting in a Malayalam film. Her family members of her husband wanted Meena to involve fully in the household matters. But Meena was against this. She has given lot of call sheets to many films.

Her husband and mother-in- law have started grumbling about this. They are complaining to their relatives that Meena is not bothered about her family. After the marriage, Vidhyasagar wanted to take Meena on a honeymoon trip but in the last minute it was cancelled due to shooting.
