Priyamani had acted in Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam directed by Balu Mahendra during her earlier days. This film had Dhanush in the lead role.

Though this film did not do that well at the box office, Priya Mani was noticed in this film. This paved her way to the National award for her acting in Paruthiveeran.

Now once again she will be acting in a film to be directed by Balu Mahendra. It seems her role in this film will be very glamorous. The film is yet to be titled. Balu Mahendra has decided to introduce a new face as a hero in this film.
