AR Rahman is known for his perfection and instantly doesn’t miss to come up with creative quotients anywhere as required, especially when it comes to his mentor and close friend Mani Ratnam.
The duo managed to sweep everyone off the feet with the breezy romantic drama titled O Kadhal Kanmani, which featured Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in lead roles. The film boasted of an urban tale that came well packaged with beautiful visuals fro P.C. Sriram and musical score by AR Rahman was the major highlight.
Now Mani Ratnam’s close associate Shaad Ali is remaking the film in Hindi titled OK Jaanu, which is produced by Karan Johar in collaboration with Karan Johar. The film features Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles, which comes together after the evergreen romantic blockbuster hit ‘Aashiqui 2’.
Although, the makers were happy with the same tunes composed by AR Rahman, the academy award winner came forward to offer 3 fresh tunes, which include ‘Aye Sinamika’, ‘Parandhu Sella Vaa’ and ‘Malargal Ketten’. Nazeerudin Shah will replace the role of Prakash Raj and Leela Samson would be seen reprising the same role again here. The film is getting ready for release on January 13, 2017 worldwide as officially announced by Karan Johar.
