After Karthi’s Kaatru Veliyidai, director Mani Ratnam is directing a film which has Simbhu, Vijay Sethupathi, Aravind Swami, Arun Vijay, Prakash Raj, Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh and Athithi Rao in the cast.
Vijay Sethupathi is donning the role of a police officer. Now there is news that the film has been titled as Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. A R Rahman is composing the music while Santosh Shivan will handle the camera. Sreekar Prasad will edit the film. The film is being produced in Tamil and Telugu. The Telugu version has been titled Nawab.
Director Mani Ratnam is producing the film under the banner Madras Talkies in association with Lyca Productions. The pre-production works are going n rapid pace. The shooting of the film will commence on 12th February..
According to the sources, it is mentioned that the shooting of this film would be wrapped up in a short span of time, say around 55 days. It is learnt through the close sources that major portions of this movie would predominantly shot in foreign countries including Dubai. If this is the current plan of Mani Ratnam, the shooting will get over by May and will be a June or July release.
