Filmmaker Cheran is known for his esthetical sense of filmmaking that revolves around family elements. Some of his movies like Pandavar Bhoomi, Autograph and Thavamai Thavamirundhu have been standouts of such paradigm.
His previous outing JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai was indeed a stunning film that didn’t gain proper recognition in spite of having a brilliant story and emotional connect with the contemporary audiences. After a long hiatus, Cheran is all set to make his directorial comeback with a family drama that would feature Vijay Sethupathi in lead role. Recently, both of them happened interact and discuss upon a script, which would be taking off lately by this year.
The actor at the moment is busy shooting for his upcoming film tentatively titled ‘Karuppan’ following which he will start working on ‘96’. This film touted to be a romantic thriller features Trisha Krishnan in female lead role and is directed by Prem Kumar, who earlier cranked camera for Vijay Sethupathi’s Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom. He has lined up three back to back films for release that includes Puriyadha Puthir, Kavan and Vikram Vedha, which would be hitting screens in the span of next three months.
