Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi was completely shocked on hearing the death news of veteran writer Sujatha (Rangarajan).  Expressing his heartily condolences he has stated few words on Sujatha that his passion was writing was inevitable till his last breath. By writing hundreds of novels, short stories, many books on science and technology, he had contributed a lot to the art and literature of Tamil.

It is well known that Vishnuvardhan's younger brother Krishna has already acted in films like Anjali, Iruvar and also in Santhosh Sivan's directorial Terrorist. The entire family didn't expect that Krishan would get into films and even he had no plans to enter tinsel town for he wanted to get settled in USA.  

Well, A R Rahman not joining hands with Director Shankar turned out to be a great failure for Anniyan. For a bit of shock, buzzes are that Rahman wouldn't able to work with Shankar for Robot. As known earlier, it is for the second time; Director Shankar and superstar Rajnikanth are joining hands. Well, Rahman's music contributed a lot for the film's success.

Hi Tamilo viewers! We get you the review of latest release in Kollywood Anjathey directed by Mysskin. Have you ever heard of this filmmaker? Yup! he is none other  than a great auteur who commenced his directorial venture with the film Chittiram Pesudhadi in the previous year.  With his first film turning out to be an unexpected success, Mysskin makes up for the expectations with Anjathey earlier titled as Aaruvadhu Sinam.

One gains respect only after presenting their skills and till then there is none to get along with you. This goes truer with Director Vishnu Vardhan. Much before kick-starting the shooting for Billa, Vishnu Vardhan had plans to make his film titled 'Sarvam'. He had approached Tamil movie star Surya to take up the lead role for which he had refused, since Vishnu Vardhan wasn't more successful at that time.

But with Billa turning out to be a trendsetting flick in Kollywood, the entire kingdom of actors are now watching out for Vishnu Vardhan's offer. So, we had Surya approaching Vishnuvardhan for the same film that he had refused earlier. But it was Vishnu's turn to say 'no' and now he has roped Arya and Trisha to play lead roles.

Selvam, director of Rameshwaram, has come down heavily on director Seeman, who has criticized the film. Seeman has said that we should not try to exploit the plight of Sri Lankan refugees.

Since it is not possible to say the truth about the issue, it is better keeping the issue out of cinema, advised Seeman, who is known for pro Tamil sentiments. He also said that we should not show a refugee indulging in romantic activities in Tamil Nadu.

The refugees, according to Seeman, are longing to go back to their homeland and hence showing them like this would mean putting them on poor light. Rameshwaram, which tries to tell a love story in the backdrop of refugees’ camp for Sri Lankan Tamils in Rameshwaram, has been receiving mixed response from the media and the audiences. Though Selvam has reacted sharply to Seeman’s criticism, it would be prudent on his part to keep in mind the fact that most of the criticisms against the film reflect Seeman’s concerns.

Selvam has reacted sharply. Seeman, according to Selvam, wants to be seen as the one and only director who care for the Sri Lankan Tamils. He could not digest anybody else getting noticed for their concern towards Sri Lankan Tamils, he added. "This is the reason behind his criticism. Let him first see my film and then talk about it", said the director with anger.

The movie Mirugam is still stuck and director Samy is still struggling.  It started with an episode of slapping Padma Priya at the movie making site, then it struggled with Samy demanding for a U certificate.  Now Samy is facing the Animal Welfare Board (AWB) problem.

Latest sources inform that the movie has not been certified yet and his acceptance for an A certificate was false.  The Cencer Bord wants Samy to get a letter from the AWB before it can be certified.  AWB objected to Jallikattu meaning the bull fight scene in the movie.  This movie will not be released on Friday, if the Censor Board will not give the clearance and Censor Board will not give the clearance if the Animal Welfare Board gives Samy a letter.
