Son of film producer Janakeraman (Dhagam, Mohamul and Ivargal Vithyasamanavargal) Natraj Kuma makes his debut as filmmaker with Meipporul, which he wrapped up in 40 days. The name, Meipporul (True Meaning), was chosen from a Tirukkural, 'Epporul yaar yaar vaai ketpinum apporul meipporul kaanbadarivu'. It is about a successful South Indian neuro-surgeon, Sam, who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. He lives happily with Devi, a reporter for a Tamil magazine. Devi and Sam's story takes a turn, when new people and some old friends enter their lives. |
