It seems like a never ending issue but Rajinikanth agreed to refund Rs 7 crore as compensation to the theatre owners for the loss of Kuselan.  According to the agreement the theatre owners will be paid 33% of the amount the film was sold at.

The film was sold for Rs. 21 crores and that would make Rs 7 crore.  It is not sure who will pay the amount but it is believed that Rajini will pay 50% and the producer 50%.

The Tamilnadu Film Exhibitors Association wanted more that!  They want 80% of the loss
