Review – Tamil Movie Anjathey Production: Nemikchand Jabak Direction: Mysskin Starring: Naren, Vijayakshmi, Prasanna, Ajmal, Ponvannan, Livingston, M.S. Bhaskar and many others. Music: Sundar C Babu Cinematography: Mahesh Muthusamy Hi Tamilo viewers! We get you the review of latest release in Kollywood Anjathey directed by Mysskin. Have you ever heard of this filmmaker? Yup! he is none other than a great auteur who commenced his directorial venture with the film Chittiram Pesudhadi in the previous year. With his first film turning out to be an unexpected success, Mysskin makes up for the expectations with Anjathey earlier titled as Aaruvadhu Sinam. The film has a simple storyline and I can just it one line for you and that's "Meeting your close friend at a gunpoint situation". The film centers on two friends namely Sathya (Narain) and Kiruba (Ajmal) sons of police constables residing in the same colony. Though very close friends, they have something in different and that is their dreams. With Kiruba dreaming about becoming a police inspector, Sathya has nothing alike to it. But situations turns topsy-turvy when Sathya gets the job of sub-inspector and Kiruba fails to get it though he had worked hard for. The reason is that Sathya had dealt with double-dealings, used the influence of his uncle who is a higher official in police department. These things create a great cause for the unbinding friendship. Soon Kiruba gets caught into the clutches of Prasanna who runs kidnap racketing with the help of Pandiarajan. Kiruba gets more influenced by the money that is thrown from Prasanna and gets along with him without knowing that they are the dangerous people. When Kiruba realizes what has been happening around, it's too late for him to come out of it…. Mysskin has done a wonderful job in getting designed with a stunning screenplay and placing each and every character meaningfully. He has to be well appreciated for presenting Prasanna with a different dimension with an anti-negative role. Narain does an awesome performance with his excellent ability to emote at different situations. Adding one more feather to the film is Pandiarajan who has performed a different role and that's negative… Vijayalakshmi unlike her previous flick has full-fledged role right from the beginning till climax of the movie. With the movie running for 200 minutes, we don't feel that we have been watching this movie for such a longtime. Few scenes are sure to raise your senses of feeling and if you are a lover of creative things, you will have your eyes dipped in bit of tears for few scenes: old lady dropping some flowers at the place where an unknown stranger lies dead: friend character of Kiruba and Sathya dying in front of their eyes: but the most enthralling scene is where a physically challenged person named Sappa - inmate of Prasanna getting killed by policemen in front of his son. These scenes for sure will make you shed tears for couple of seconds… Getting on with technical aspects, Sundar C Babu does an enchanting musical score for both songs and background scoring. Well, for your kind attention with the film running for 3 hours 15 minutes, you have only 3 songs and everything doing well. This is something awesome to speak about the attributes of the movie. Mahesh Muthusamy's cinematography adds more enhancement to the film and it plays a major role in getting your senses adhered to the screen. As a whole, Anjathey is a movie that shouldn't miss watching it at any cost for its something different that none of the filmmakers have attempted for… Verdict: Miss this film at your own risk… Strongly recommended.
