Sathyam will be the most posh film so far in Vishal's line of business. G.K. Film Corporation's Sathyam has all of this in addition to a touching love story with a laissez-faire dose of humour. Vishal plays Sathyam, a principled ACP, for which he worked hard on toning his body and looks for the super cop role and he has performed all the stunt sequence without any dupe. Nayanthara is cast as an apprentice in a news channel. She falls in love with Sathyam and helps him in his pursuit.
Her role is very bubbly and full of positive energy. She has even featured in a glam song sequence. Popular Kannada actor Upendra plays the villain. At a cost of Rs. 1.75 cr. art director Thota Tharani has erected an amazing set for a song sequence that has a mobile police booth. Craig Mumma, who has worked in Hollywood flicks like Mummy and Matrix, has handled the graphics. A 3-minute comic scene shows Nayanthara and the kids like Tom and Jerry. R.D.Rajasekhar the cameraman for Sathyam has used crash cameras and helicam for the chasing scenes. Harris Jayaraj has come up with peppy numbers and it is his 25th film. The Rs. 22 Crore budget bilingual in Tamil and Telugu (Salute) produced by Vikram Krishna and directed by Rajasekhar was shot extensively in Chennai, Ladakh, Rajahmundry, Hyderabad, Kurnool and Tenkasi. A romantic song sequence was shot in Istanbul. This film is ready to hit the screen soon.
