While the career graph of Dhanush was through some middling phase, it was Vetrimaaran’s ‘Polladhavan’ that took him back to scale the greatest heights. The film wasn’t just a turning point for Dhanush, but for Daniel Balaji, who played the negative role, where he garnered incredible appreciations.
Now nearly after 9 years, the same duo is all set to recreate the magic in their upcoming film ‘Vada Chennai’, which will be directed by the same filmmaker Vetrimaaran. Recently, Daniel Balaji was invited for an audition and very much impressed with his proficient acting as usual, he has been signed up to play the negative role in this crime noir based film set against the backdrops of Chennai slums.
The film is about the coming of age of a guy who later turns into a leading gangster of North Chennai. The film’s shooting will commence on June 22 and Daniel Balaji will be joining the sets from June 26 straight from the shooting of Vijay 60, where he is playing the baddie opposite Vijay again in tentatively Vijay 60 directed by Bharathan of Azhagiya Tamizh Magan.
