Following the grand success of Polladhavan, which was a commercial hit, the duo Vetrimaaran-Dhanush got together for a much appealing show ‘Aadukalam’, which won them National awards. Later on they were involved in the production of top-notch films, which yielded them National and International acclaims.
Now they are back into their favourite zones as actor and director for the film ‘Vada Chennai’, which was supposed to take off before a very long time and is finally getting on the floors now. The film will be made as a trilogy starring Dhanush in lead role as a boy coming of age into gangster of North Chennai.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Andrea Jeremiah and Samantha will be playing the female lead characters with Daniel Balaji as the antagonist. Santhosh Narayanan has been signed to compose music and it will be a first of its kind cult crime noir. The film’s shooting commences today in the backdrops of prison set works, which are erected in one of the studios of Chennai.
Dhanush has already completed shooting for couple of movies titled ‘Thodari’, directed by Prabhu Solomon and Durai Senthil Kumar’s ‘Kodi’, which features him in dual roles as twin brothers that has Trisha and Premam fame Anupama Parameshwaran in female lead roles. He has already completed 50% of Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta as well.
