After Soundarya Rajnikanth’s Velai Illa Pattadhari 2, Dhanush has Gautham Menon’s Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta, Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai, Balaji Mohan’s Maari 2, Karthik Subburaj’s film, Durai Senthil Kumar’s film and Ken Scot’s The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir in his hands. In this the film The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir in his hands has been adapted from a novel The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe by French author Romain Puertolas.
Marjane Satrapi has directed this film. Dhanush is donning the role of a street magician called Ajatashatru. French actress Berenice Bejo, Somalian-American actor Barkhad Abdi and American actress Erin Moriarty are also sharing the screen with Dhanush.
This high budgeted film has been produced by Brio Films, Vamonos Films, Little Red Car Films, Scope Pictures, M Capital Ventures and Impact Films. There was an overwhelming response for the recently released posters, teasers and trailer. This film is being released on 30th May. Yesterday the film was screened in the Cannes Film Festival. Dhanush and other crew members participated in the screening. On the occasion of this Dhanush has released the Tamil version poster. The Tamil dubbed version has been titled Vaazhkaiyai Thedi Naanum Ponaen. This title has been taken from a song in the film Velai Illa Pattadhari.
