Dhanush-Keerthy Suresh starrer ‘Thodari’ was initially reported of hitting screens for the month of July, but it was consistently on the date change in accordance to the release of Kabali. But then, it all become more favourable as Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali got released, many producers of medium and low budget movies are keen on getting their flicks affirmed of their release dates. It is all now affirmed that Dhanush’s Thodari will be hitting screens on August 12 for the occasion of Independence Day. The film is a love story set against the backdrops of train journey from New Delhi to Chennai, which gets hijacked by the terrorists. The film is directed by Prabhu Solomon and is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, which is now funding Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film AK 57. Along with Dhanush’s Thodari, Vikram Prabhu’s ‘Wagah’ directed by GNR Kumaravelan is also hitting screens and one more additional release could be Vijay Sethupathi’s Dharma Durai, which is yet to be confirmed.
