Speechless!!! Remarkable!!! Lump in our throats!!
Mark our words... You wouldn't walk out of theatres without uttering these words after watching Bala's Paradesi. It's not an easy deal for any filmmaker to easily travel back to an era of 1939 for making a film based on this crucial concept. We're sure, it's only Bala, who can take us back to a journey into a different world through his movies and this one isn't an exception. Paradesi is a clamorous drama of joy, desolation and vain in the lives of labourors, who worked under the cruel landlords of Tea Estate in Ooty. Cinema News From Tamilomovie.com Click Here To Watch Special News and Event First things first, it's a brilliant concept by Bala and no one can beat him over this context of making such an intriguing film. Decades back, it was his mentor Balu Mahendra set new trends with a stunning climax (he broke the stereotypical conceptualization of hero and heroine joining hands together in a climax with 'Moondraam Pirai'). Now, don't expect this to be an usual kind of Bala film, where tragedy can be awaited at any time. Yes, there are more heart-wrenching drama, but the climax is so shockingly repellant that you wouldn't able to judge - is it a boon or bane to the protagonist. The climax is more than enough for you to remain stuck to the seats for the next few minutes even after the final credits. On the dot, we aren't able to cherry-pick the special highlights of this film for each and every element here are fantabulous. Maybe, it's time for Oscars to knock the Indian doors. "When a Lincoln and Argo can, why not a Paradesi?' you would boast with puffed vanity with this statement and feel excessively imperious to the world for a Tamil film delivered with an excellence. |

Manirathnam's Kadal has been generating huge waves of anticipations right from the time he unveiled the film's title followed by the tremendous response for AR Rahman's songs. Lots of guesses over the film prevailed that includes a buzz about the film being a remake of yesteryear hit movie 'Alaigal Oyvadhillai' starring Karthik and Radha in lead roles.
Cinema News From Tamilomovie.com Gallery - Stars Meet Kamal Hassan Stills Today, we have their offsprings taking on the lead characters in the film of India's most celebrated filmmaker. Banner: Avni Cine Makers Pvt. Ltd
Production: Kushboo Direction: Sundar C Star-casts: Sundar C, Anuya, Vadivelu, G Srinivasan, Bose Venkat and others Music: Thaman S Lyrics: Vairamuthu It was a long time before we saw Sundar C handling story, screenplay, dialogues and direction. Last time, it was Madhavan starrer ‘Rendu’ that proved to be a good success in box office. Off the late, Sundar C hop-skipped into the arena of acting and won laurels for his new attempt. Now he is back to the pavilion of wielding megaphone for the film ‘Nagaram’. According to Sundar C, the film is nothing but his brainchild as he crafted the screenplay with much interesting ingredients and produced by his home banner, he boasted of lots of creative freedom. However, it’s somewhat disappointing to see that the film is nothing but a rework of Hollywood movie ‘Carlito’s Way’ that had Al Pacino, Sean Penn and Penelope Ant Hill in lead roles. The film’s narrative style is same as the American movie as it opens with Selvam (Sundar C), a criminal being treated inside an Intensive Care Unit. The film travels to the flashback sequences where Selvam is coming out of prison for a criminal activity for the sake of his boss Bhai (veteran actor G. Srinivasan). With the help of his friend-police Sakkara Pandi (Bose Venkat), he comes out of prison and decides to quit the criminal activities. Offered a new job by Bhai, Selvam heads to Hyderabad, where he meets Bharathi (Anuya of SMS fame), a professional dancer. Both fall in love with each other and decide to get married. But sooner, Selvam is dragged by his past life and is drenched in unavoidable problems with a twist in climax. |
