Gowtham Menon while speaking to the media said,” When I spoke to the media about Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya earlier, I said this film is based on real incident.  

But that is a blatant lie. The whole story is fiction. Both Trisha and Simbhu acted very realistically. There were no rehearsals. All the shots were taken in a single take. This film is my own production. I kept the climax as I wished. I did this because I am only going to bear the profit or loss. I will not experiment like this with other producer’s money.
