The Censor Board refused to clear the film Renigunta since there was lot of violent scenes in this film. The Censor Board members wanted to delete scenes where young boys are becoming rowdies and indulging in violence.
But Panneerselvam who had directed this film refused to delete the scenes. So he sent the film to the revising committee where it was cleared with an A certificate. The film produced by Mahendra Kumar has producer NIC Arts Chakravarthy’s son Johnny in the lead role. Sanusha who is also a new face from Kerala is the heroine of this film. The film is to hit the screens on 4th December.
