Janaki Sonamuthu and Thangam Sivamuthu are producing a film titled Sanikkilamai Saayangalam 5 Mani under the banner S P S Media Works. New face Sarath and Malini are in the lead roles.

Rathi Bala has written the screenplay. Ravi Bharathi has penned the story and is also directing this film. While speaking to the media, he said,” The story of the film begins on one Saturday evening 5 pm and ends on the next Saturday 5 pm. I have narrated crime, thriller, action, comedy and romance in this story which happens for a week.

Gugan has used the new technology by using the camera H D S L R. This camera was used for few scenes in Hollywood film Slumdog Millionaire. This is the first time this camera is being used in an Indian film. We have shot all the sequences using two cameras. We have shot the original temple scene at Tiruparangundram.”
