One of his fans while commenting on the Vijay Awards function which was held recently said, "They have given awards to film that has not run but Power Star Lathika has crossed 225 days. I am very sad that he has not been given a single award."

Now Power Star fans are all cheerful because Power Star has been signed for an important role in the film I to be directed by Shankar. Power Star will be appearing in one or two sequences in I and Santhanam will be sharing the screen with him in these sequences. Power Star has also been signed for an important role in the film Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya which has Santhanam in the cast.
