Gowtham who had joined hands with Harris Jayaraj and A R Rahman has for the first time joined hands with his most favourite music composer Ilayaraja. Ilayaraja after a long gap is composing music for the film Nee Thane En Pon Vasantham which has Jeeva and Samantha in the lead roles.

This film is being produced in Tamil and Telugu languages. Since Ilayaraja is composing music after a long time, there are great expectations for the songs of this film. There was also a stiff competition among the audio companies to acquire the audio rights. It is understood that the audio rights have been sold to a company for Rs 2 Crores. Earlier the audio rights for the film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya which had the combination of Gowtham Menon and A R Rahman were sold for Rs 1.75 Crores.
