 Manivannan who was a director also donned character roles in numerous films. Today morning he passed away due to cardiac arrest at his residence.

Manivannan has so far directed 50 films including Gopurangal Saivadhillai, 24 Mani Neram, Nooravathu Naal, Palaivana Rojakkal, Jallikattu, Chinna Thambi Periya Thambi, Pudhu Manithan and Amaidhi Padai. Many of the leading directors including Vikraman, R K Selvamani, Sundar C and Seeman were his protégés.

Tamannaah, Vidharth and Mahat are donning important roles. The first schedule of shooting took place in Hyderabad. Now the second schedule shooting of this film is taking place in Rajahmundry.
