Kerala rights of Kaatru Veliyidai go into bigger hands

Popular producer Shibu Thameems has bagged the Kerala rights of the film Kaatru Veliyidai directed by Maniratnam. Touted to be an emotional love story, the film features Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles with an ensemble star-cast involving  K. P. A. C. Lalitha, Shraddha Srinath, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Delhi Ganesh, RJ Balaji, Vipin Sharma, Harish Raj, Mir Sarwar, Amritaa Singh and Dhyana Madan in important roles.


The film possesses brilliant flashpoints for AR Rahman has composed the music while Ravi Varman has handled cinematography. There are great expectations brewing for this film amongst the people, especially with the three single tracks from AR Rahman – Azhagiye, Vaan and Saaraattu Vandiyile already making big on charts. Meanwhile, there are tough competitions to acquire the rights for other states.


At this juncture, Shibu Thameems has acquired the Kerala rights. He had earlier acquired the rights for the film OK Kanmani directed by Mani Rathinam. Similarly Dil Raju has acquired the Andhra rights and Sri Thenandal Films has clasped the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights.


The film has two more songs to be unveiled from the album and makers are planning for worldwide release in Tamil and Telugu on April 7.
