Thoranai Movie Review Banner: GK Films Corporation Production: Vikram Krishna Direction: Saba Ayyappan Star-casts: Vishal, Shriya Reddy, Prakash Raj, Kishore, Santhanam and many others. Music: Mani Sharma
Synopsis Chennai City is terrorized by illegitimate kingpins Tamizharasan (Prakash Raja) and Guru (Kishore). Murugan (Vishal) arrives in Chennai from his hometown for the purpose of searching his lost brother who ran away from his house years back in childhood. As he keeps getting on each step closer to his lost brother, situations forces him to get clashed with two gang leaders. At a point, he has take a severe step on striking terrific blows on them. But Murugan is unaware that one amongst them is his own brother Ganesh whom he is actually searching. Performance Much annoying piece of show by Vishal as he keeps imitating Vijay in many occasions… Better he can stop trying on comedy quotients. Shriya Charan has nothing to do except skin shows. Prakash Raj has been again prone to perform same baddie role while Kishore does justice to his role. Santhanam, Mayilsamy adds to humor quotients with few enjoyable parts. Direction Saba Ayyappan can better take a break and go through a perfect training on filmmaking. Screenplay is so flimsy. Lots of punch dialogues, same Telugu-fangled villains chasing hero and heroine on the roads. Hero jumping from 14th floors and smashing down 20 men at the same time, are more irritating. Technical Aspects: Neither musical score nor editing, cinematography has been well-executed. They are more amateurish. Final Take: Precisely, if you’ve booked tickets for this film, please refund them. Or else avoid the show and it isn’t worth taking risk. Verdict: Poor Show overall
