Let’s go through the short synopsis of this film and later analyze it. Banner: Red Giant Movies , Production: Udhayanidhi Stalin , Star-casts: Surya, Nayanthara, Vadivelu, Saroja Devi, Rahul Devi, Murali, Shayaji Shinde, Ramesh Khanna, Alex and others,
Music: Harris Jayaraj Story: Aadhavan (Surya), a sharpshooter works for Shayaji Shinde, a deadly gangster. Aadhavan is assigned to bump of a magistrate (Late Actor Murali) as he would reveal the list of baddies involved in organ racketeering of underprivileged children. Now, after missing the first chance of his target on the magistrate, Aadhavan makes his presence into his house of joint family holidaying at Kolkatta and hatches plans to kill them. What happens next is the unexpected twists and turns with a surprising climax. Analysis: The film is perfect on all terms of narration. K.S. Ravikumar strikes again with a spectacular show. He is over again presenting the commercial ingredients that keeps us engrossed all throughout the show. Surya does his part well and Vadivelu happens to be another hero as he’s present for the next couple of hours. Nayanthara is complete disaster while Saroja Devi underplays her role. Rahul Dev could’ve got yet more importance over his role and Murali’s acting is outstanding. Technical Aspects: None of the songs are really interesting, except the title song and final one ‘Hasiliye’. Background score is average and English songs heard here and there are quite weird. Cinematography is exquisitely canned. Don Max’s editing is sleek and stylish. Final Take: ‘Aadhavan’ maybe a kind of dislike for the audiences, who are already fed up with commercial cinemas. But at box office, the film is sure to make it big for the festive season. Verdict: Watch it without expectations.
