After Pandit Ravi Shankar and Zahir Hussain, A R Rahman has bagged the prestigious Grammy award. Rahman has bagged one award for the best composed sound track for the film Slumdog Millionaire and another for his song Jai Ho in the best motion picture song at the 52nd Grammy Awards.
While receiving the golden gramophones, Rahman said,” This is insane, God is great again.” A R Rahman’s rivals in the best compilation sound track for motion picture category were Steve Jordan for 'Cadillac Records,' Quentin Tarantino for 'Inglorious Basterds', the producers of 'Twilight' and 'True Blood' In the best song category, Rahman’s rival was Bruce Springsteen for his song 'The Wrestler.
