Actor Nivin Pauly shot to fame with the much celebrated Malayalam movie Premam, which ran more than 300 days in Tamilnadu alone. From then, his fan following base in Chennai and other parts of Tamilnadu has been running into monstrous figures. The actor initially made his debut in Tamil cinema through the bilingual film Neram, directed by Alphonse Puthren. For the first ever time, Nivin Pauly will be seen playing the lead role in a direct Tamil movie titled ‘Richie’. The shooting of the film is now close on the heels of completion.
According to the latest official information from the producers of this film, they are planning to release the movie on December 8. As known earlier, the film happens to be the remake of much celebrated Kannada film ‘ Ulidavaru Kandante’. Shraddha Srinath who appeared for the first time in Kannada movie with U turn followed by Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai and recently with Madhavan in Vikram Veda is playing the female lead role in this movie. Cinematographer-actor Nataraj Subramaniam will be seen in an important role alongside Prakash Raj. The film is directed by Gautham Ramachandran, a former associate of Rajiv Menon.
