n the recent times, Tamil cinema has been witnessing the arrival of lots of interesting projects that are based on the newfangled themes and unconventional genres too. Especially, the comedy genre that comes very well blended with some different dimensions has been garnering good response. The latest one to join the league is Peechaankai, which features Karthik in lead role. The film is about a person with left hand syndrome, who is a pick pocket by profession.
Sharing the depth and intensity of his characterization, actor Karthi says, “I play the role of a left hand pickpocket named Smoodhu. Everyone will be astonished to see that my left hand actually is the protagonist of this film, where it listens to my mind and instructions. But things turn Topsy-Turvy when it doesn’t listen to me.”
The film’s trailer was recently launched and it witnessed a huge reception of 15 Lac views in a short span of time. The film is directed by Ashok who makes his directorial debut with this movie, which is produced by RS Karthik under Karsa Entertainment in collaboration with PG Muthaiah of PG Media Works. The film features Anjali Rao in female lead role who shot to fame playing younger sister of STR in Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada.
