Ramanarayanan’s son Murali Ramasamy has produced the film Sangamithra under the banner Thenandal Studios Limited. This film was introduced in the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France. Now there is news that Shruthi Haasan who was essaying an important role in this film has walked out of the project.
On one side it has been mentioned that she has not been ousted but she quit the film. On the other side it has been mentioned that she did not quit the film but she was removed from the film. At this juncture, there is news spreading like a forest fire. The news is that the film Sangamithra has been dropped. Now it has come to be known that the introductory function was held in Cannes Film Festival to lure money from foreign investors since the budget of the film is Rs. 300 Crores. The producer was not able to get any investments.
It is very difficult to collect this amount in India and so there will be delay in producing the film. Hence the producer has decided to drop the project. Having come to know about this scenario, Shruthi Haasan silently slipped away from this film.
