“Simbu did not allow me to go as per my views and plans” – Adhik Ravichandran
Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan’ was released a few months ago, which was produced by Michael Rayappan and directed by Adhik Ravichandran.
The movie got very bad reviews and was an utter flop and a great disappointment to the fans of Simbu. The producer suffered a great loss.
Now, after a gap of 6months when the director and the producer remained rather silent, conducted a press-meet yesterday (Thursday, 30thNovember) and shared his anguish and misgivings. They piled up a heap of complaints on actor Simbu.
Filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran: ‘the movie was planned to start from Dubai and conclude in Kasi. However, Simbu carried out a lot of changes in this script. As we had booked a celebrity star for my debut film, I had to bear whatever Simbu did and had to accede to his corrections. When we paid the advance, Simbhu’s father, T. Rajendran, promised that it was his responsibility to ensure that Simbu would complete acting in the movie. However, he could not do much about this.
As Simbu did not cooperate, the scenes involving Shriya and Tamannaah could not be picturised as intended. As the call-sheets of these two actresses went waste, it results in loss of lakhs for the producer.’
