Suriya’s Singam was supposed to get released on December 16 and when the release time was near, the producers made an official call saying that it is hitting screens on December 23 for the festive occasion of Christmas.
It was so much of exhilarations for the fans and even the distributors, producers and exhibitors felt that it will definitely have a decent opening in box office and good profits too. But then, it all turned out to be a disappointment on the spur of moment, when they happened to unveil the news that the film’s release is yet again postponed.
The film is directed by Hari and it is fifth association with Suriya that includes Aaru, Vel, Singam and Singam 2. The film is produced by Studio Green Films K.E. Gnanavel Raja with Anushka Shetty and Shruthi Haasan in female lead roles.
According to the latest reports, the film’s worldwide release is scheduled to happen on January 26, 2017 for the occasion of Republic Day. But then, there is no official announcement from the team regarding this and we can wait for the final word anytime sooner.
