Global recession seems to be affecting the film world as well.  Few years ago many corporate companies came to invest in different types of films to get different types of audience. 

Because of this may top actors increased their salaries.  After the recession, however, things have changed.  Many industries are working towards to bring down the top actor’s salary. 

Many Bollywood leading stars have brought down their salary to keep up their career.  Following this many corporate companies who invest in Kollwood are working to bring down salary for Ajith and Vijay. 

When Rama Narayanan, the President of Producer’s Council, was approached about the high salary problem, he said “I am not aware of the salary policies of the corporate companies towards Tamil stars. But our council will be discussing on this in our next meeting.”
