Manirathnam to direct Aravind Sami

Aravind SamiAravind Sami made his debut as an actor in the film Thalapathy directed by Manirathnam. He donned the role of a Collector in this film. After this, he donned the lead role in the film Roja directed by Manirathnam. He became very popular throughout India by acting in this film. The film Roja got very good recognition among the International audience.

Aravind Sami was a handsome hero. Even there use to be dialogues in the films which say "Handsome like Aravind Sami."

He had acted in a couple of Tamil films and then he quit acting. He became an entrepreneur. Few years back he donned a small role in the film Alaipayuthey directed by Manirathnam. He did this role because Mani requested him. After this he started getting lots of offers but he kept away from acting. There was also news that he was offered a villain role which he had refused.

At this juncture, he has agreed to act in a film directed Manirathnam. This film has Karthik’s son Gautham, Samantha, Arjun and Pasupathi in the cast. Aravind Sami will be donning the role of Samantha’s father. Though he has agreed to act in Manirathnam’s film, it is understood that he will not continue to act in other films.
