Dhanush’s next is titled MariyaanThough 3 was not a great success at the box office, Dhanush has started concentrating in his next film. On one side the work connected with the Hindi version of 3 is going on. This film is to be released soon in Hindi.

After 3, Dhanush will be acting in a Hindi film titled Raajnhaa. The shooting of this film is to take place in Varanasi. There was news that Dhanush will also be acting in a Tamil film to be directed by Bharatbala but there were no further information about this film.

Now Dhanush has mentioned, "My next film has been titled Mariyaan. Bharatbala who had directed Vande Mataram album is directing this film. Oscar Award winner A R Rahman is composing music for this film. I also want to state that I am very happy that I will be acting in a film to be directed by Vetrimaaran. He is readying the script. I am very eagerly waiting to hear the script."
