Actor Dileep passes away

Actor Dileep (52) passed away on Friday morning in Mysore due to ill health.

Actor Dileep was suffering from kidney problems for the last few months. Two weeks back is health condition became much deteriorated and because of this he was this he was admitted at a private nursing home in Mysore.

He was given intensive treatment but it was of no use. He passed away on Friday morning. He made his debut in K. Balachandar’s film Varumaiyin Niram Sivappu.

He had acted in more than 150 films in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films. Dileep donned supporting roles in as the lead character's friend in many movies including ‘Kilijangal' and ‘Thoongadey Thambi Thoongadey'.

Some of his memorable performances include those in director Visu's movies — ‘Samsaram Adhu Minsaram' and ‘Penmani Aval Kanmani'. He had shared the screen with Kamal Haasan and Rajnikanth in many films.

The general public and the members of the film fraternity paid their last homage. The funeral rites took place on Friday evening. The late Dileep is survived by his wife, daughter Bhavya (20) and son Mourya (16).
