Speaking about this Daniel said, "I want to act in good films. I have donned villain roles in the films including Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu.

My villain role was much spoken about. I had donned hero roles in some films. Now I am donning anti hero role in the film titled Marumugam.

I am also donning the role of a child’s father in the film titled Gnana Kirukkan directed by Ilayadevan. This is a character role.

I agreed for this role because it was different from my earlier roles. I am interested to don different kinds of roles."
