Actress Sana Khan had acted in Tamil films such as Silambattam, Thambikku Indha Ooru, Aayiram Vilakku and Payanam. A junior actress with a similar name was recently arrested for prostitution.

This news was misunderstood and it was published that actress Sana Khan was arrested for this offence. She who came to Chennai while speaking to media said, "I wept so bitterly when I read the news that I was arrested for prostitution.
I became very depressed. Later on police had issued a statement stating that I was in no way connected in that case. Though I am a Mumbai girl, I don’t have a single boy friend. I am praying five times a day. I fast for 30 days in a year. I don’t have the habit of smoking and drinking. There is a normal thinking among people that Hindi actresses only drink and smoke but only South Indian actresses drink and smoke heavily. I have seen in my own eyes the actresses who where highly intoxicated."
