There was news that Trisha has refused to act in the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Nadodigal. Priyadarshan is directing this film. Priyadarshan is the person who introduced Trisha through the Tamil film Lesa Lesa.

Now Priya Anand who had acted in Vaamanan and 180 has been signed for the female lead role. When asked Trisha about this, she said, "Priyadarshan is a person who takes more care about my career.He had approached me many times to act in Hindi films. It is true that I had refused them. The reason for this he had called me when I was very busy in Tamil films. I told him that I will act in a Hindi film which has a big hero in the lead role. When he called me to act in Khatta Meetha which had Akshay Kumar in the lead role, I agreed. I myself have told that I had refused to act when he approached me earlier but the news now saying that I had refused to act in the Hindi remake of Nadodigal is utterly baseless. It is a mere rumour. I am currently acting in three Tamil film and Two Telugu films."
