5th Annual Vijay TV awardsThe Fifth Vijay TV Awards function was held on 25th June 2011 at Nehru Indoor Stadium. Out of 149 films released in the year 2010, winners from 32 different categories were announced. These awards were chosen on the basis of the votes collected from the general public.

The awards and winners are as under:

Favourite hero: Rajnikanth

Favourite heroine: Trisha

Favourite director: Shankar

Favourite film: Endhiran

Best actor: Vikram (Raavanan)

Best actress: Anjali ( Angaadi Theru)

Best director: Vasanthabalan ( Angaadi Theru)

Best film: Angaadi Theru

Best music composer: A R Rahman (Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya)

Best male supporting actor: Thambi Ramaiah( Myna)

Best female supporting actress: Saranya (Thenmerku Paruvakatru)

Best comedian: Santhanam (Boss Engira Baskaran)

Best cinematographer: Rathinavel (Endhiran)

Best editor: Kasi Viswanathan (Naan Mahan Alla)

Best stunt director: Anal Arasu (Naan Mahan Alla)

Best art director: Selvakumar (Madrasapattinam)

Best debut hero: Viddarth (Myna)

Best debut heroine: Amala Paul ( Myna)

Best story and screenplay: Prabhu Solomon ( Myna)

Best lyricist: Vairamuthu (Thenmerku Paruvakatru)

Best choreographer: Dinesh (Jilla Vittu from the film Eesan)

Best make up artist: Bhanu (Endhiran) and Deepali (Madrasapattinam

 

Chevalier Shivaji Ganeshan Award: Director K Balachandar)

Best entertainer of 2010: Surya (Singam)

Jury special award: Seenu Ramasami (Thenmerku Paruvakatru)

Best find of the year: Lyricist Madan Karki, Choreographer Remo D’Souza ( Endhiran)

Best crew: Myna team

Special award for social service: Lawrence

Contribution to Tamil cinema Choreographer Sundaram master.

Actors and actresses entertained the guests by performing in the stage.

All those who were chosen rightful deserve the awards. Good good.

Just dont
know how Pandi(Angaadi Theru) missed the Best comedian Award. Looks like he must
focus in doing movies. He has the talent.
