Sakalakala Vallavan to be remade

Sakalakala Vallavan is a super duper hit film which had Kamal Haasan and Ambika in the lead roles.

This film was produced by AVM and directed by S P Muthuraman. This film was released in 1982.

Kamal has donned the role of a village guy as well as a city guy in this film. Ilayaraja has composed the music for this film.

The songs Nethu Rathiri Yamma and Naan Than Sakala Kala are still evergreen in the minds of the people even today. It has been decided to remake this film now which rocked in the 80s.

Surya has agreed to don the lead role. Surya had requested Studio Green to acquire the rights of this film from AVM but AVM themselves have agreed to produce this film.

AVM has signed Surya for the lead role. The official announcement regarding this will be made in due course.
