The Court has banned the title of the film Thuppakki which has Vijay in the lead role.

The reason for the ban is that Ravi Devan has registered the title Kalla Thuppakki in the year 2009.
At this juncture, director A R Murugadoss has registered Thuppakki as the title of his film which has Vijay in the lead role.
Moreover Ravi Devan claims that logo of his title is similar to the title of A R Murugadoss’s film. The Kalla Thuppakki crew made a complaint regarding this to the Producers Council but in vain. Since they did not get justice there, they have approached the Court. The Judge who enquired into this matter has banned this title.
