Vana Yuddham is a film which is based on the life of the slain forest brigand Veerappan. This film has been released in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Kishore has donned the role of Veerappan while Arjun has donned the role of a police officer who hunts Veerappan.

Vijayalakshmi has donned the role of Veerappan’s wife. The entire sequences in which she had acted has been completely deleted. Vijayalakshmi was shocked seeing this. She had earlier acted in few films including Chennai 600028 and Anjathey.

Because of this objection, the scenes pertaining to she was deleted. Director A M R Ramesh while speaking about this said, "Muthulakshmi had created hectic problems for this film. She pounced on me to hit me in the Court. She asked to delete 32 scenes. The scenes mentioned by her were deleted. Money is her main criteria. As per the Court directions, I will pay her the money. I have sold my three houses and have come to the streets. I am unable to make films on the real incidents."
