Actor Jai has been trying with all mighty efforts to make his comeback and has been attempting with different genres, especially trying his luck out there in thrillers too. Vadacurry was a medical thriller while his ‘Pugazh’ was a political thriller, which didn’t work out perfectly for the actor.
Then, this time, he gets into yet another thriller titled ‘Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum’ directed by debutant Premsai and produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film features Bollywood actress Yami Gautham in female lead role and others in the cast include Santhanam, VTV Ganesh and Nasser in important characters.
The film is about a courier boy who keeps doing his job with more happiness, until one day he is assigned to deliver a sensitive material and then his complete life changes with a cat and mouse thriller moments. The great highlights of the film are short and crisp screenplay, perfect editing and cinematography.
When it comes to flip side, it involves some sluggish moments, which could have been done in a much more gripping manner. The climax ends abruptly, but that’s a treatment that could be given to this thriller. Overall, it’s a decent attempt by newcomer Premsai, if which it had some more engrossing moments, would have made it a taut thriller.
