the techno beats and westernized genres are ruling the charts, ‘Vaayadi Petha Pulla’ has become a sanctuary of joy and emotions. With the song scaling an incredulous mark in YouTube crossing 1Crore views within a short span of 117 hours lyricist GKB is found in immense joy.
Ask him what really inspired him to write this song based on father-daughter relationship. He says, “Vaayadi Petha Pulla is a song placed at a situation, where it had to bring fun-filled elements like naughtiness, fun and joy. Eventually, we tried adding some colloquial lines, which
when rendered by Sivakarthikeyan, his daughter Aaradhana and Vaikom Vijayalakshmi upgraded its result. Moreover, the cuteness over Sivakarthikeyan-Aaradhana in the video turned to be everyone’s cynosure. Dhibu Ninan Thomas made sure that the lyrical clarity and vocalisms of singers find a great prominence and balanced it accordingly with instrumentals.”
Adding more about his inspirations behind penning this song, GKB says, “While any form of work might demand for a reference or inspiration, a father-daughter relationship doesn’t need such things for its omnipresence. Among all the emotions across the panoramas of mankind, a father-daughter bonding always finds itself in the purest form. It’s something beyond a reason or ordinary perception. There’s a saying where a man becomes complete when he finds his soul mate, but in reality, he attains the highest form of happiness to have a baby girl in his hands
, to see it grow, achieve her dreams. So is the theme of ‘Kanaa’, which will have its impact upon everyone.”
Kanaa is based on the dreams of a girl to accomplish her dreams as a cricketer. The film has an ensemble star-cast involving Sathyaraj, Aishwarya Rajesh, Dharshan, Ilavarasu, Munishkanth, Rama, Savari Muthu, Antony Bhagyaraj and many more.
Arunraja Kamaraj makes his directorial debut with this film, which has musical score by Dhibu Ninan Thomas and cinematography handled by Dinesh Krishnan.
The film is produced by Sivakarthikeyan for Sivakarthikeyan Productions.
