Debutante director Manimaran made his debut through the Tamil film NH 4 which had Siddarth in the lead role. After this, he continued to direct Harish Kalyan’s Poriyaalan and Jai’s Pugal. Now Manimaran will be directing a new film which will have director Samuthirakani in the lead role. This film is based on a novel titled Thariyudan penned by novelist Bharathinathan. The film has been titled Sanga Thalaivan. Karunaas, Arama fame Sunulakshmi and Vijay TV fame Ramya are donning important roles. Director Vetrimaaran is producing the film under the banner Grass Root Film Company.
The shooting of the film began yesterday after poojai was performed. Ramya VJ has tweeted, “The start of a new week, a new year and to new beginnings.Here’s hoping that there are great things in store this year, and is filled with love and blessings from all of you .”
