Filmmaker Vikram Kumar made his directorial debut with the film ‘Alai’ that starred Silambarasan and Trisha in lead roles following which after a long hiatus of 5 years, he offered a tremendous blockbuster hit ‘Yaavarum Nalam’. Sooner, he teamed up with Nagarjuna family, where late actor Nageshwara Rao, his son Nagarjuna and grandson Naga Chaitanya happened to play the lead role in the movie ‘Manam’. His recent release in Tamil titled ‘24’ starring Suriya in triple roles had a fantabulous response beyond boundaries breaking the language barriers. It was expected that his next film would be a sequel to ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ featuring Madhavan in lead role, but it is not going to be an immediate one. Yes, the filmmaker will now team up with Nagarjuna’s son Akil for his untitled next, which will be officially launched on the festival day of Pongal. It is noteworthy that Akil played a cameo role in Manam, where he appears by the final credits of the film. Apparently, the new film hasn’t been finalized with the female lead, but it is confirmed that AR Rahman is composing music for this film.
