Mohan Raja is directing the film titled Velaikaran which has Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara in the lead roles. The crew had announced that the film will be released on 29th September. But there was information that the film is not being released that day.
At this juncture, the production house has come forward to explain that why the film could not be released on 29th September. The production house has mentioned, “The post-production works of Velaikaran are going on. Two more song sequences are to be shot. Since Mohan Raja is directing this film after the stupendous success of Thani Oruvan, we have decided to make no compromise as far as quality is concerned. It will take three to four weeks to complete the censor formalities. Hence the film will be not released on 29th September.
We apologize to everyone for this lapse. Since it is a high budgeted film, it would be appropriate to release the film during the festive season. Many films are being released during the month of October. There is no festivity during the month of November. Hence we decided to release the film during the month of December on the occasion of Christmas. The film will be released on 22nd December. We apologize to the people and fans for making them wait for a long time. Though we have delayed the film you will understand that we have given the best quality film.”
